ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD

The International Mission Board (IMB) is the international missions agency of the Primitive Methodist Church of the USA (PM). Our aim is to help fulfill the PM Church’s mission of producing disciple-making churches that will lead our world to Christ. The IMB advocates for missionaries and global ministries by raising funds, as well as by bringing awareness of the need for global missions to congregations through education and global missions trips.

The IMB recognizes and supports different “types” of missionaries-

  1. Missionaries who serve directly under our board.

  2. Missionaries who have a P.M. affiliation but serve under another mission organization.

  3. Church planter.

Missionaries to Your Church or Group

When a missionary is home on furlough and visiting churches or if a missionary is raising support, there are three ways the missionary might set up a meeting.

  1. The District Superintendent will be informed when the missionary will be in their area. The D.S. will inform churches in their district and set up speaking engagements.

  2. The missionary may call churches and set up his or her own schedule of visiting.

  3. A church may contact any missionary directly to invite him or her to speak.

Kingdom Connections

Each missionary is contacted each month. Praises and prayer requests are received. These are typed up and sent to churches and individuals. They are available on our website under Missionary Updates.

IMB Monies

All missionaries are under a faith-based program. They raise what they need; they only receive what you send. We encourage you to support them. The IMB does not take any percentage out for overhead expenses.

If missionaries raise their own support, why does the IMB need money? Good Question!
